Excellence in water and wastewater treatment, in the North.

  • CMP engineering has been in business since 2019. I provide engineering services to Yukoners and Northern BC residents, relying on 24 years of experience as a professional engineer. My clients are First Nations, industry, and governments.

I design water and wastewater treatment systems, automation and control, and engineering documentation. I also teach water and wastewater courses at Yukon University, providing an opportunity for operators to hone their skills.

I also design, troubleshoot and commission septic disposal systems all over the Yukon. I have a soils laboratory for performing sieve and hydrometer tests, in order to determine the longterm absorption capacity of the receiving soils.

  • I have been designing troubleshooting, and commissioning septic fields since 2020. I have reviewed or designed septic fields for industry, commercial, and residential applications all over Yukon. I test soil in my soils laboratory to ASTM standards in order to best estimate its longterm absorption capacity. I also teach a course on the determination of soil suitability for septic fields at Yukon University.

  • My professional focus since 2003 has been water and wastewater treatment. I have even published articles on this topic in an internationally ranked, peer-reviewed journal. As a consultant, I have helped design water and wastewater treatment processes for military, government, and industry in Canada and internationally. I have performed inspections and audits on water and wastewater treatment plants across Canada.

  • Automation and control is critical to plant performance. I started off my career as a controls programmer in 1998. Since then, I have designed control systems for several water treatment plants, and programmed countless PLCs. I am licensed to integrate, service, or make changes to any Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PLC or HMI.

  • I have written Standard Operating Procedures and Maintenance Management Plans for several Yukon communities and First Nations. These documents can be combined with video footage of procedures on tablets in order to provide a “next level” solution for training new staff. I also produce confined space entry programmes that conform to, or exceed Yukon Worker Compensation Legislation. I have current certification in confined space entry, fall arrest, and WHIMIS (GHS). In addition, CMP engineering is COR certified!
